Congratulations to Spanish instructor Luz-María Acosta-Knutson, who was selected earlier this year as one of only 50 educators across Illinois to participate in a statewide initiative led by the Illinois Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ICTFL) and the ISBE Multilingual Department.
Over the summer, Luz-María collaborated with fellow language educators to help develop a strategic plan for a Multilingual Illinois, focusing on creating pathways for language proficiency and celebrating linguistic diversity.
In addition to this honor, Luz-María presented at the ICTFL Fall Conference this morning, where she spoke on Aligning Heritage Programs through AP Themes.
We’re proud to see Marmion Academy represented both at the conference and in this exciting statewide effort advancing world language education.
Thank you, Luz-María, for your dedication and commitment to our Academy and students!
