Tuition, Scholarships & Financial Aid
A Marmion Education Within Reach
A Marmion education is an investment in your child’s future, one that nurtures the wholeperson through spiritual formation, academic excellence, and leadership development. We’re committed to making this experience accessible for families by offering a range ofscholarships, financial aid, and tuition reduction programs designed to support every student’s unique journey.
Tuition
Tuition for the 2026-2027 school year will be $16,000. Marmion is offering a $1,000 tuition grant available to families that complete registration by December 15, 2025.*

- 2026-2027 Fees List: TBA
- 2025-2026 Fees List
* As Marmion Academy welcomes the inaugural co-educational class in the fall of 2026, we are proud to offer a one-time $1,000 Tuition Grant available to all new students joining us for the 2026–2027 school year, including new students transferring to Marmion.
To qualify for the $1,000 Tuition Grant:
- Freshmen must take the Scholarship Qualifying Entrance Exam on December 6, 2025 and complete their application by December 15, 2025.
- Transfer Students must complete their application by January 15, 2026.
Multiple sibling discounts are considered during the financial aid process. Each student and family receive a cost reduction (commonly known in private schools as the tuition gap). Currently, the tuition charged is $9,100 less than the actual cost of educating a Marmion student.
Marmion does not receive any funding from the Rockford Diocese, as we are not a diocesan school, rather an institution owned and operated by the Monks of Marmion Abbey. Therefore, as a ‘self-funded’ learning community, we must rely on several revenue sources to keep the programming at the Academy at the high level of excellence that it is. This includes revenue generated from our Facility Rental Program, the Hammes Campus Store, and from the generous gifts we receive from members of the Marmion Family, including the Alumni Association and many benefactors through our advancement efforts.
All families are required to sign up for a tuition payment plan for the 2026-2027 school year. The academy offers four convenient tuition payment options, which we hope will help you in meeting the costs of your child’s education.
These payment plans are:
- One full year payment: Due in July
- Two semester payments: Due in July and January
- Four quarterly payments: Due in July, October, January and April
- Eleven monthly payments: Due in June through April
For the upcoming 2026-2027 school year, we require all Marmion families utilize our partnership with Blackbaud Tuition Management. This partnership has been designed with flexibility and convenience in mind. You choose the payment dates and method that work best for you. The real advantage of using Blackbaud Tuition Management is the ability to automatically have your bank account debited or credit card charged for your tuition payments. Financial Aid
Marmion Academy has a financial aid program to assist families with the cost of tuition.
Families must apply for financial aid each year.
In 2025-2026, Marmion awarded $1.382 million in need-based financial aid to 48% of its students for an average award of $7,000 per student.
The Marmion “Working for Your Education Program” is designed for financial aid recipients only. In exchange for the financial aid awarded, students are expected to work their allotted number of hours on campus. We have created several opportunities for students to fulfill their work requirements over summer break or during the school year. These opportunities include:
- Cleaning/maintaining school facilities and grounds
- Assisting with Abbey Farms Pumpkin Daze and Christmas tree sales
- Helping with various office/organizational projects
- Performing any campus project with the proper authorization of a Marmion faculty/staff member
Completion of hours is a requirement for graduation and future financial aid awards.
