#GivingTuesday began in 2012 as a hashtag and grassroots movement to encourage generosity the Tuesday after Thanksgiving; it’s now a major annual day of collective giving and volunteering that drives billions of dollars and tens of millions of actions across the U.S. and worldwide. Organizations use the day to launch targeted appeals, recruit new supporters, and amplify year-end fundraising.

At Marmion Academy, #GivingTuesday is integrated into the school’s advancement strategy as an opportunity to direct unrestricted support to the Marmion Fund These short, high-energy campaigns also help Marmion engage alumni, families, and new donors and can unlock matching grants or local incentive grants when participation goals are met.
